Classic Cheeseburger
Ingredients:
Ø
1 pound (450 grams) ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat)
Ø
4 hamburger buns
Ø
4 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, or your preferred cheese)
Ø
Salt, to taste
Ø
Black pepper, to taste
Ø
Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, pickles,
ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise
Instructions:
v
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
v
Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and shape each
portion into a patty, about 1/2-inch thick. Press your thumb lightly in the
center of each patty to create a small indentation (this helps the burger cook
more evenly).
v
Season both sides of the patties with salt and black pepper.
v
Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5
minutes on each side for medium doneness (adjust the cooking time based on your
preference for doneness).
v
During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of
cheese and allow it to melt.
v
While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns on
the grill or in a toaster.
v
Remove the patties from the grill or skillet and let them rest for
a couple of minutes.
v
Assemble the burgers: Place each patty on the bottom half of a
toasted bun. Add any desired toppings like lettuce, tomato slices, onion
slices, pickles, ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise. Place the top half of the bun
on top.
v
Serve the cheeseburgers immediately and enjoy!
Note: Feel free to adjust the seasonings and toppings according to
your taste preferences. You can also customize the cheeseburger with additional
ingredients like bacon, sautéed onions, or special sauces.
Enjoy your Classic Cheeseburger!
